He is delighted to have been offered the opportunity of joining Blair Atholl Golf Club as Head Greenkeeper.

Stuart is keen to offer Blair Atholl members regular course news and updates , he says :

" After another extremely wet summer we have had another great season on the course. I was lucky enough to have Martin Houston working with me all summer and he was a great help to me allowing me to concentrate on trying to get ontop of the thatch problem we have on our greens. Slowly we are making progress on lowering the amount of thatch in the greens but this will be a long process. We have been verti cuttting and topdressing the greens with sand as much as the weather allowed. As most members will have seen the greens have been cored again which also helps eradiacte thatch. After the cores were lifted I spread seed into the holes and topdressed with sand to close the holes up. If the weather allows this winter I will be sorting as many bunkers as possible and trying to level a few of the uneven tees. Some more scrub clearence will also be on going throughout the winter.
I would like to thank all of the members who have helped me throughout the season. They have been a great help to me.
Finally I hope the winter is not to harsh and that we have a good start to spring!!! "
